Women’s Art Association of Canada (WAAC) presents A Thousand Colours, a phenomenal virtual talk by Sarah Hall, June 16, 2022, at 1:00pm.
Through A Thousand Colours, Sarah will share her experiences in creating stained glass and mosaics for buildings across North America and in Europe. The talk will include the influences in her work – both from historic and contemporary artists and from mentors such as June Callwood and Ursula Franklin. Through A Thousand Colours, Sarah will share her experiences in creating stained glass and mosaics for buildings across North America and in Europe. Sarah studied architectural glass in Canada, the UK and the Middle East before establishing her own studio in Toronto in 1980.
She was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada on December 28, 2019.
Her work comprises contemporary art glass at an architectural scale. Over the past 40 years she has created hundreds of large-scale artworks for public, private, and institutional settings. In the process, she has gained international recognition for her creativity, uncompromising artistry, and the innovative use of solar technology in architectural glass.
