E M I L Y S T E I N W A L L :
Emily Steinwall is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrument from Toronto. With a style that draws influence from a wide variety of genres, Steinwall and her band have made a reputation for themselves in Toronto’s music scene with their psychedelic and transportive performances. Emily has been performing since she was a child, and comes from a family of performers and musicians. In 2017, Emily graduated from Humber College’s Jazz program with a degree in saxophone, and in that same year was named one of CBC’s “35 best Canadian jazz artists under 35”. In 2021, Steinwall released her debut album “Welcome to the Garden” which was awarded SOCAN’s 2022 songwriter prize. This performance will feature Steinwall and PT Sandberg on upright bass.
