Now, we’re teaming up with Breakfast Television and Rogers Media to bring that same magic to your TV screens each week.The event will present a special live musical takeover on April 28th, feature two live morning performances and a breakfast bar, completely free of charge for all guests.
As the longest-running morning show, Breakfast Television has been a staple in Canadian homes for years, and El Mocambo’s historical significance as a legendary music venue is well known. The musicians presented in partnership with RBS Emerging Artists Program already made their names in the world – The Trews, Juno nominated rock band from Hamilton, earned 17 Top 10 Rock radio singles and Mindflip, Quebec rapper, ended 2022 on a high note by landing on Spotify’s Best Hip-Hop Songs of 2022 playlist and Amazon’s Best of 2022 Canadian Hip-Hop playlist.
“We hope that we can continue this concept throughout the summer and offer audiences at home and in person a live concert experience and transform the venue into a true breakfast bar as opposed to the nightly hotspot it’s known as. That’s the beauty of the new space, it’s got everything it takes to produce a live TV production; it’s got the tech and the space to pull off any kind of event. We’re so excited!!” said Laura Reiter, Executive Producer Breakfast Television.
With Breakfast Television’s reach across the country and the El Mocambo’s reputation for amazing live music, this partnership will provide an opportunity for music lovers to experience live performances from some of the most promising emerging artists, with the added bonus of enjoying breakfast while watching the show. The concert and club venue is opening its doors early in the morning to the public for the first time in the history – Representatives of El Mocambo are very excited to host this event in their renovated venue broadcast talent across Canada from coast to coast on the Breakfast Television.
