Opéra Queens: Gaysian Gala 2.0!

Welcome to Opéra Queens’ 2nd annual Gaysian Gala 2.0! We are fundraising for our annual summer mainstage production. This year’s production is a Cleopatra production in Montréal and we need your help to make it a success! You are welcome to pay what you can (PWYC) for our fundraiser, support using our suggest ticket amounts, or donate if you can’t make it in person!

As well, we are continuing to raise awareness about AAPI Heritage Month and celebrating our Asian and Asian Pacific Islander community, particularly intersecting with LGBTQ+ identity. There have been wonderful wins this year particularly in the film industry with the cast and crew of “Everything Everywhere, All At Once”, but this is just the beginning of inclusion in the arts, and change is still slow especially in opera and classical music.

Come enjoy performances by some of your AAPI Opéra Queens (sopranos Thera Barclay and Christina Yun as well as drag diva Tanya Smania and tenor Mike Fan) and enjoy food while fundraising for Opéra Queens’ LGBTQ+ & BIPOC+ non-profit mission! We’ll be providing some refreshments and encourage you to bring a contribution for our potluck (please, nut and allergen free)!
