'Refugee in the Sea' - September Tablao 2023

‘𝗥𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮’ is a debut album of Tarek Ghiri, a flamenco guitarist with Syrian-Canadian and Palestinian heritage. The album features 7 original songs and singing parts in Arabic, Spanish flamenco and Indian , taking the listener on a musical journey through the Middle East, Spain.

‘𝗥𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮’ is an expression of Tarek’s personal journey and the collective struggles faced by so many who have sought refuge in new lands. Through his music, he aims to explore themes of love, heartbreak, hope, and cultural identity. He hopes his music pays homage to those who have lost their lives in the search for a better future.
