The Arts and Letters Club presents the 2023 Toronto Book Awards Finalists

The Arts & Letters Club, in conjunction with the City of Toronto, will showcase the finalists for the 2023 Toronto Book Awards.  You are invited to celebrate the creativity and diversity of Toronto’s vibrant literary community, meet the authors and be inspired as they talk about their craft and read selections from their latest works.  Book signings will take place following the presentations.

The finalists will be announced September 5, with the awards ceremony taking place October 10, at the North York Public Library.  The longlist of 13 authors can be viewed here https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/awards-tributes/awards/toronto-book-awards/toronto-book-awards-jury-finalists-winners/.

This event, which includes light refreshments, is open to the public at a cost of $20 plus taxes. Reservations can be made through Eventbrite.  Please reserve early since seating is limited.

ABOUT THE TORONTO BOOK AWARDS

Established by Toronto City Council in 1974, the Toronto Book Awards honours books of literary merit that are inspired by the city.  This year, the Toronto Book Awards received a record-breaking 105 submissions.  This is the second year the Arts & Letters Club is staging this preview event.
