The Cold War

The Cold War is one chapter in Michael Hollingsworth’s play cycle “The History of the Village of the Small Huts”, which dramatizes the comedy of “Canada’s” history.

The Cold War bridges the regimes of Mackenzie King, St Laurent, and Diefenbaker with an international cloak and dagger story. Featuring a trench coat full of trouble named Sam Steele, Demi-Gods of film noire and B-movie characters including Igor Gouzenko, Dr. Dawn Cameron and Greta Musinger. The Cold War spies on an all Canadian family from 1945-1963, as ex solider Tom becomes an Avro Arrow worker while his two brats grow up in front of the TV and his wife Mary goes mad with bats in the beehive.

Starring an all star cast including Aurora Browne (Baroness Von Sketch Show), Valerie Buhagiar (Highway 61), and Richard Clarkin (The Drawer Boy).
