The annual TSFF 48-Hour Smartphone Film Challenge returns in collaboration with George Brown College on June 2, 2023.
TSFF 48-Hour Smartphone Film Challenge is back in collaboration with George Brown College.
There will be a pre-launch event for the 11th annual Toronto Smartphone Film Festival and 48-Hour Smartphone Film Challenge, held on June 2, 2023 at George Brown College. The event starts at 7 pm.

Application Period: May 1 - May 22, 2023
Application Guidelines:
- Submit this Application Form (One Form per Applicant/Team)
- Submit a Demo Reel for Review (One Reel per Applicant/Team)
- Fee: $20 per Applicant/Team
Notification Date: Monday, May 29th, 2023 at Noon (subject to change)
Challenge Details:
1. Challenge Location: George Brown College (230 Richmond St. E., 2nd FL, Toronto)
- Room 201 (heardquarter), 205, 206 (editing room)
- All Challenge Participants will have unlimited access to this space for the full duration of the Challenge (room 201, editing room, and a lounge).
2. Schedule:
June 2nd: 7:00 pm - TSFF Pre-Launch Event (Announcement of the Challenge, Teams, Specifications and Networking)
June 2nd: 9:00 pm - Challenge Begins
June 4th: 9:00 pm - Challenge Ends
June 17th: 3:00 pm - Challenge Screening
June 17th: 7:00 pm - Awards Ceremony
3. Screening Location: Innis Town Hall (2 Sussex Ave., Toronto)
- Closing Night and Awards Ceremony: Innis Town Hall on Saturday, June 17, 2023
(Screening at 3:00 pm, Award Ceremony at 7 pm)
- Award Categories & Prizes: Best Film $200. Audience Choice $100 (subject to change)
