Ever wonder how or why our street names came about, ever wonder the story behind the name, well now all will be answered, in this new walk for spring 2023
Did you know that Bay Street was called Teraulay Street, named after Teraulay Cottage, James Macaulay's home, or that Roncesvalles Avenue in Parkdale was named after a town in the northern part of Spain? Or Dundas Street for a man who helped launch Toronto? Interesting indeed!
Join me for a new walk on a new route with all new street names, let's discover the hidden stories behind the streets of Toronto. Stories that have shaped our city for over 200 years.
