Anandam Dancetheatre

Our work occupies a contemporary space with aesthetics constructed outside a lens of Eurocentricity and our initiatives are grounded through AD Brandy Leary’s artistic practice. Leary’s body of work is the result of two decades of consistent engagement with Indian dance and performance practices in classical and contemporary lineages.

Since its inception in 2010, ĀNANDAṀ has cultivated and presented solo and ensemble choreographies, interdisciplinary collaborations, curated series and festivals. Our works have been experienced by hundreds of thousands of people locally, nationally and internationally.

Collective Space is ĀNANDAṀ’s rehearsal and performance home in Toronto.
