Betty’s ‘slow art’ combines hand embroidery, rug hooking and rug punching techniques at unexpected scales to create rich, illustrated tapestries of public and private spaces. Furniture and plants enliven her rich and immersive scenes, which are created slowly using wool, cotton and upcycled leather, one loop at a time.
