Female Eye Film Festival

The Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) is North America’s only international competitive women directors’ festival. Providing an exclusive showcase for women directors, FeFF illuminates the best of independent film and offers a cinematic perspective through the female eye. We present high-calibre short and feature films in drama, comedy, sci-fi, action, horror, documentary, animation, and experimental genres by debut and mid-career filmmakers, and pay tribute to internationally recognized directors. FeFF bridges the gap between the written, visual, and media arts and boasts an eclectic program of films, script development, a photo exhibit, pitch sessions, master classes, tributes, and industry-initiative programs.

In addition to the annual festival, FeFF mentors youth on their debut films, which are premiered at the festival. To date, we have produced 42 short films directed by young at-risk women. FeFF also curates programs for sister festivals and produces community-outreach programs to raise awareness about issues pertaining to women.

Each year, the Female Eye attracts film enthusiasts, international women directors, celebrities, seasoned industry professionals, screenwriters, and producers of film and television. FeFF is noted for its intimate atmosphere, accessibility, and excellence in programming.
