Since 1967, Théâtre français de Toronto (TfT) has become Canada’s most important French language producing company based outside Québec. It has done so by building a solid reputation among audiences looking for exciting and innovative Canadian theatre. Determined to be as inclusive and accessible as possible, TfT presents its shows with English surtitles.
Seasons consist of a full slate of productions for general audiences, shows conceived specifically for adolescents and children as well as a robust slate of outreach and community development projects including drama classes for children and teenagers as well as new play development and internship programs. Today, TfT welcomes over16,000 patrons annually, hailing from diverse cultural backgrounds and living in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. TfT considers it an honor to provide these audiences the freedom to “live their cultural differences” and discover a unique place of communion and artistic expression within our theatre.
