Philippine Legacy & Cultural Alliance (PLACA)

Philippine Legacy and Cultural Alliance (PLACA) is an Ontario-registered non-profit organization founded in 2019 by a group of cultural-minded individuals, entrepreneurs, artists, and community advocates.

It is celebrated for its inaugural offering  as the non-profit group to mount the 6th Taste of Manila street festival, staged in partnerships with ABS-CBN/TFC and TOMP, held in August 2019 at Little Manila in Toronto, Ontario.  An estimated 200K+ people from all over Canada and beyond attended the popular Filipino festival during the 2-day weekend.

PLACA is proud of its passionate volunteer base and committed community partners.  It constantly creates meaningful ways to engage members of the community to work well together and impress upon fairness, recognition and inclusivity.
