Raag-Mala Music Society of Toronto

Raag-Mala is a charitable organization with a mission to weave the thread of Indian Classical Music (ICM) into the Canadian cultural fabric. Founded in 1981, we are the longest-serving organization in North America focused on this genre. Our focus is on producing an annual concert series and educational workshops that promote the enjoyment and understanding of ICM. Since inception, we have presented over 200 live concerts and lecture demonstrations, including by maestros Ustad Vilayat Khan, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, as well as Toronto-based artists Ravi Naimpally, Ramneek Singh, Jonathan Kay and others. More recently, we have had performances by Arnab Chakrabarty and Pankaj Mishra, established Indian musicians who are relative
