Hike the ROM

Hike the ROM

Presented by Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) at ROM

Introducing Hike the ROM (#HikeTheROM) – walking trails of engaging and unexpected discovery through three floors of galleries. Designed to help you get those daily steps in, each trail allows you to move at the speed you like, all while exercising your brain, too. Available starting February 16 until April 3, Hike the ROM offers two themed trails of different lengths. Each one is perfect for a morning stroll or a lunchtime break, all without sidewalks, mall aisles, or treadmills.

Want to learn more about the wild, natural world? Pick up the Walk on the Wild Side trail and head off on a roaring hike through the world of wild animals. We love bears, and you'll encounter some on this trail, along with other wild creatures that amaze and inspire. Estimated length: 1,100 steps or 1 km.

Fascinated by all things immortal? Follow our Eternal Life trail for an intriguing look at how different cultures view life, death, and the afterlife. You'll encounter beasts, ghosts, mummies and more. Estimated length: 1,450 steps or 1.2 km.

Trail Guides are included with general admission. Simply locate the Hike the ROM trailhead signs on Level 1 near the Bloor Street or Queen's Park entrances and pick up your Guide. Or, download a copy in advance so you can plan your hike before you arrive.
