The Word On The Street will return to the streets of Toronto this spring with new dates and a new (old) home.

The 33rd edition of Canada’s largest open-air book and magazine festival will take place June 11th & 12th on Queen’s Park Crescent from Bloor to Wellesley Street. The 2022 festival will feature readings by 100+ authors including Jesse Wente, Kate Heartfield, Cadence Weapon (aka Rollie Pemberton), Emma Healey, Farzana Doctor, Ruth Ohi and Patricia Storms!

The outdoor marketplace will showcase a wide range of Canadian and Indigenous books, magazines, comics, and more for readers of all ages. Annick Press, Coach House Books, ECW Press, HarperCollins Canada, Wolsak & Wynn, House of Anansi and Groundwood Books are just a few of the fantastic publishers you'll be able to browse this June, including dozens of arts organizations, magazines, and independent authors to discover in the dedicated Indie Alley.
