The Huns by Michael Ross Albert REMOUNT

The Huns by Michael Ross Albert REMOUNT

Presented by One Four One Collective at The Assembly Theatre

Written by Dora-nominated playwright Michael Ross Albert, The Huns is a menacing workplace comedy about millennial anxieties, minor revolutions, and modern-day barbarians.

The morning after a break-in at a tech company, three co-workers assemble for a conference call to discuss the burglary. What starts as a civilized, professional meeting swiftly devolves into a brutal showdown that puts everyone’s careers-- and their hopes for future happiness-- in jeopardy. Featuring the original award-winning cast and crew of artists, The Huns is an unnerving, laugh-out-loud look at modern workplace culture and mental health.

The production received its world premiere in the 2019 Toronto Fringe Festival, where it was named Patron's Pick (highest grossing) of Streetcar Crowsnest Guloien Theatre and was selected to be remounted in the Best of Toronto Fringe Festival. It received awards for Outstanding Production, Outstanding New Play, and Outstanding Direction in NOW Magazine's annual wrap-up of Toronto Fringe Festival. "The Huns" was nominated for a 2019 My Entertainment World Critics' Pick Award in the Outstanding New Play category.
Unanimously praised by critics and audience members alike, 'The Huns' is described as “an outstanding production with acute insight into the modern workplace” ★★★★★ (NOW Magazine).
