FAN EXPO Canada is committed to excellence in serving all fans and visitors by removing barriers to ensure their full participation at our events.    The event takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in downtown Toronto. There is a combination of outdoor and indoor spaces with gentle changes in elevation.Venue & Access to TransitWe have chosen the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for our shows as it is located near Public Transportation (Union Station – main access to the underground subway, commuter trains, buses and LRT).Indoor – FlooringFlooring throughout the venue is a combination of hard surfaces such a concrete and terrazzo; and soft surfaces, which include carpeting, rubber matting, and individual retail booth materials. In some areas electrical cords are secured via channeled matting or tape. The Venue Safety Team diligently monitor the status of all flooring to minimize potential trip hazards.Outdoor – SurfacesSurfaces are more varied and include asphalt, concrete, grass, wood chips, rubber matting, crowd control barriers, cable channeling, and cement curbs.With low level lighting, such as during evening hours, it can be more challenging to see and navigate these changing surfaces. As with the indoor venues, FAN EXPO safety personnel diligently monitor indoor surfaces for possible trip hazards. Accessibility Entrances & Service DesksLocated in the North and South Buildings in the ticketing or entrance halls to buy a ticket or redeem one bought in advance. North Building: Front Street, east of Second Cup Coffee Shop entrance. Entrance is clearly marked as Accessibility Entrance. South Building: Accessibility Entrance located at 222 Bremner Boulevard, from Ceremonial Drive to Room 501. Access is clearly marked by entering via a white marque tent with proper signage. Accessibility Medical StickersFAN EXPO provides medical stickers to individuals who identify as having accessibility needs. A minimum of 12-point fonts for 90% of printed materials are used.Service AnimalsGuide dogs and service animals are welcome at our shows, provided they are leashed and control of the animal at all time.
