Garrick Ohlsson, piano
Daniil Trifonov sincerely regrets that due to injury, he must withdraw from his performances on May 25, 27 & 28. The TSO is working on his return in a future season.
"It’s with great sadness I say that I won’t be able to participate in the upcoming concerts with Ivan Fischer and Budapest Festival Orchestra in Budapest and Italy and with Gustavo Gimeno and Toronto Symphony Orchestra in Toronto. I was very much looking forward to these performances, but the condition of my left elbow following the injury sustained back in November requires some extra treatment and rest. I will be very happy to come back fully recovered in the future." - Daniil Trifonov
We are grateful to Garrick Ohlsson for stepping in to perform Beethoven's "Emperor" on short notice. We look forward to welcoming him back to Toronto.
