‘LoveSick’ is Panoply Theatre Collective’s modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Love’s Labour’s Lost’. A story of young love, loyalty, and adaptability, ‘LoveSick explores how people try to stay connected when they are forced to keep apart.

Panoply Theatre Collective is proud to present this hilarious new adaptation of Shakespeare's bittersweet comedy. This is a classical play made for contemporary audiences!
The King of Navarre has made a vow with their good friend Lord Berowne: they agree to stay together in Navarre’s court for the next year, and to meet with no women as they dedicate themselves to studying. But this vow is challenged when the pair remember that the ailing King of France has already sent his daughter to visit Navarre’s court to settle a debt. The Princess of France and her companion Rosaline arrive, and must keep their distance…a task which proves difficult as unexpected passions arise! Also in Navarre’s court are the foolish nobleman Don Armado and his companion Moth, visiting from abroad. They quickly become tangled in the intrigue as Don Armado falls in love with the wry country maid Jaquenetta, who is also the companion of the comedic Costard. Come enjoy this lively Shakespeare show in beautiful park settings.

Tickets to this event are free! However we strongly encourage all attendees to make a donation. All donations go towards covering the production cost, and paying the cast and creative team. Tickets are available for purchase/reservation online at the link above, but each performance is fully open to the public as well.
In the case of inclement weather, we will notify you via email and post on our social media channels by 11:30am for matinees, and 4:30pm for evening performances. Refunds will not be provided in the event of a show cancellation, however patrons are welcome to transfer their tickets to another performance if applicable.

Kew Gardens Park is an open-area grassy park space just off of Queen St East. There is no formal seating for this event - patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs/blankets. There are public washrooms available nearby in the public library and elsewhere on the park site as well.
