OCAD U GradEx Presents Creative Resilience / Resilient Creativity, Chancellor Jaime Watt’s Gallery

Presented by OCAD University at First Canadian Place

This exhibition showcases works by 20 emerging artists that explore themes related to living through a pandemic. The pandemic presented countless challenges for many but it also presented a unique environment to create in a time and space like never before. The free exhibition presents works that express a range of what it meant to create during a pandemic – from themes that include profound loneliness and isolation, resiliency, innovation and experimentation.

Curated by OCAD University graduate Marilyn Adlington, the exhibition features artists from the University's recent graduate exhibition, GradEx 107 as well as 106 and 105. Adlington is a scholar, curator and arts writer based in Ontario. She completed an MFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice in 2021 and was a recipient of the OCAD U Medal and President’s Award for her thesis research project.
