Sinfonia Toronto's "MOZART & SHOSTAKOVICH - Rays of Hope" concert presents "a phenomenal child prodigy" (Ottawa Life Magazine) in her Toronto concerto debut. Canadian pianist Sunny Ritter will be our soloist in Mozart's most famous and beloved piano concerto, No. 21 in C Major. Sunny won her first gold medal at age 6 and has gone on to wins in 25 more international competitions, including in adult categories, and has played in major European halls.
Maestro Nurhan Arman will also lead the orchestra in the world premiere of Montreal composer Vania Angelova's neo-Baroque "Passacaglia" and a Shostakovich chamber symphony written during WWII with anguish at the conflict and hope for renewed peace.
