TOUR

An opportunity to explore the Harbord Village neighbourhood and learn about its history, this will be a FREE public tour. “Harbord Village is a diverse and thriving residential and commercial neighbourhood in Toronto's downtown core. Enclosed by Spadina and Bathurst to the east and west and by Bloor and College to the north and south, with Harbord Street running through the centre.” (Harbord Village Residents’ Association)

The tour will be a good experience for curious locals, solo travelers, backpackers, small groups of friends, or newcomers.

ABOUT

Beginning at the Toronto Public Library - Lillian H. Smith Branch, your guide Alex Rascanu will tell you about the Harbord Village neighbourhood’s history and show a number of heritage and historically significant buildings along College Street, Harbord Street, Spadina Avenue., and Brunswick Avenue, the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, the Knox Presbyterian Church, the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre, and more. The tour will conclude at the popular Found Coffee.

WHEN

Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 at 9:00am. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes.

WHERE TO MEET

The walking tour will start in front of the Toronto Public Library - Lillian H. Smith Branch (239 College St, Toronto, ON M5T 1R5).

WHERE IT ENDS

This tour will end at Found Coffee (324 College St, Toronto, ON M5T 1S3), where you can enjoy high quality coffee, tea, and baked goods.
