Sonic Kaleidoscope – music for cello and piano.
Captivating audiences and critics alike, this brilliant duo distinguishes itself with its musical integrity and charismatic chemistry. The Chinese-Canadian brother-and-sister are renowned cellist Bryan Cheng, first Prize winner of the 2022 UNISA international music competition and pianist Silvie Cheng, recipient of the Roy M. Rubinstein Award for exceptional promise in piano performance. Named one of CBC Music’s “30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30”, they have performed at Carnegie Hall and throughout Europe, UK, and Asia.
They will perform Arvo Pärt Fratres (1989), Brahms Violin Sonata No. 1 in G Major, Op. 78 “Regen”, Prokofiev Cello Sonata in C Major, Op. 119, Piazzolla Le Grand Tango (1982).
