The Marriage of Figaro

Presented by Canadian Opera Company at Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts

The COC starts the new year with Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro. In the subversive comedy from the famed composer,  servants outwit their masters and deliver an unforgettable lesson in love. Marcelo Buscaino directs Claus Guth’s acclaimed production aesthetically influenced by the cinema of Ingmar Bergman. Several COC audience favourites return as featured cast, including Italian bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni in the title role, Canadian bass-baritone Gordon Bintner as the Count, and American mezzo-soprano Emily Fons as Cherubino. makes her COC debut as the Countess. British conductor Harry Bicket returns to lead the COC Orchestra through one of opera’s most beloved scores.

Admission Info

All performances take place at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts (145 Queen St. W., at University Ave.). Single tickets range from $35 – $250 for adults, with Grand Ring seats available at $290 and $350, and $22 tickets available for guests between the ages of 16 and 29 through the COC’s Opera Under 30 program. Tickets can be purchased online at coc.ca or by calling the Four Seasons Centre Box Office at 416-363-8231. Parking Info

There is a cashless— credit/debit only parking lot that can accommodate approximately 200 vehicles underneath the Four Seasons Centre. The parking entrance is on York Street, south of Queen Street.

Additional parking for all events is just steps away at the GREEN P lot under Nathan Phillips Square.
