Accessibility Info

Sugar Shack TO acts in accordance with the recommendations of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act in multiple ways. Firstly, the festival website, marketing materials and on-site signage use sans serif fonts and contrasting colours for people with visual impairments. The website also has links to accessible transit options. With regards to onsite infrastructure, any cables and wiring for audio/visual set ups are covered with brightly coloured cable mats to minimize tripping hazards and enable wheelchair accessibility. Wheelchair accessible port-a-potties are included in all festival locations. Eating areas and food trucks are located in large accessible areas at all times. Programming and information signs are printed on 8-ft-tall triangular boards for quick access and ease of reading. For those who cannot read the signs, we have an information booth in each park with festival staff dedicated to explaining and directing visitors.
