Toronto’s first ever NYC-style immersive theatre production, produced by Artistic Director, Julia Cratchley. A Grimm Night promises to bring dark magic to life with an immersive theatrical experience inspired by the Brothers Grimm Stories.
From this Thursday April 6th running until Sunday, April 9th 2023, Toronto's first ever NYC-style immersive theatre production, A Grimm Night, will take over The Great Hall on Queen West. Produced by Artistic Director, Julia Cratchley, the mastermind behind Toronto's contemporary dance and performance company Transcen|Dance Project, A Grimm Night promises to bring dark magic to life with an immersive theatrical experience inspired by the Brothers Grimm stories.
Upon entering the venue, all guests will be given a domino eye mask to wear and a scroll invitation informing them where to start the show. Then the audience is set free to roam the four-story venue, interact with the cast, and discover the dark magic of the most sacred of childhood fairy tales.
New this year is the Exclusive Experience ticket offered on Fridays and Saturdays only. The Exclusive Experience gives an intimate one-on-one with the cast, line-by-pass, and complimentary bubbly. On Friday, April 7th, A Grimm Night - The Ball will showcase the full show of A Grimm Night, followed by a DJ-led dance party featuring DJ Cozmic Cat, post-show with the cast until the clock strikes midnight.
With several different experiences to enjoy, tickets for A Grimm Night range from $65 - $150 (plus tax and fees). The age recommendation is 16+ due to the dark nature of the show. Guests are advised to wear comfortable shoes as the show is not seated, and they will be moving throughout the building.

About Transcen| Dance Project
Transcen|Dance Project is a Toronto-based company looking to stretch the boundaries within the Toronto dance community and create a new environment for audiences to experience art and live performance. Founded in 2015 by former Canadian dancer, Julia Cratchley, who trained as a contemporary dancer at the illustrious Arts Umbrella in Vancouver and danced as a freelance dancer across North America.

You will receive a masquerade mask when you enter. These keep you anonymous through the performance as well as help distinguish you from the performers. We hope these masks help empower you to explore and be curious. These masks will fit under some glasses, but if you have the option, contact lenses are recommended.
