A Celebration of Black Canadian Choreographers

A Celebration of Black Canadian Choreographers

Presented by Ballet Jörgen Canada at Young Centre for the Performing Arts

Canada is home to a diverse range of talented choreographers, and A Celebration of Black Canadian Choreographers is an opportunity to showcase some of these incredible artists. The performances will be anchored with works by Canadian Choreographers Katlyn Addison, Jose Angel Carret and Mafa Makhubalo. These works were commissioned by Ballet Jörgen over the past three years, but the pandemic has limited the Company’s ability to properly showcase them. This program will be the first time the works are performed in full.
