For the first time, Arts in the Parks will launch its summer season in Etobicoke! Arts in the Parks invites community members to our free season kick-off in Amos Waites Park for a celebration of arts and community! Join us for performances and arts workshops featuring Japanese Taiko drumming, street dance, an aerial circus show and more. Learn to screen print and make your own tote bag, snag a free art kit and join us for complimentary ice cream during this delightful afternoon of family fun! Arts in the Parks brings free, family-friendly arts events and activities to a park near you. Think theatre performances, dance classes, workshops, movies, festivals and more, right in your backyard! Perfect for the whole family, Arts in the Parks is a city-wide initiative, taking place in parks across Toronto. Everyone is welcome: you don’t need a ticket, you just need to come straight to the park. We’ll see you outside this summer! Arts in the Parks encourages community building, enjoyment of local parks, and offers arts events for residents and tourists of all ages. Events take place in parks throughout Toronto, from Etobicoke to Scarborough and North York to the downtown core. Arts in the Parks is an initiative of Toronto Arts Foundation, being presented in partnership with Toronto Arts Council, the City of Toronto and Park People.
