XOCÔ
XOCÔ is Mestre Sérgio Xocolate performing traditional Afro Indigenous Brazilian rhythms fused with rock, psychedelic music and other contemporary influences.
Conceived in Sérgio's hometown of Recife in Pernambuco Brasil on Turtle Island South, the project was actually brought to life and fostered here in T'Karonto (Toronto), Kaniatario (Ontario), Kanata (Canada) on Turtle Island North.
Besides being an award-winning composer, international recording artist, singer/songwriter, percussionist and artistic ambassador of traditional Indigenous & Afro Brasilian culture, Mestre Sérgio Xocolate is a master teacher of capoeira and a lifelong arts educator.
With a penchant for composing songs on the streetcar, Sérgio is currently preparing for the launch of his new album that boasts his own origina copositions and merges poetry, politics and spirituality while paying homage to his Afro-Indigenous ancestors by breathing new life and lyrics into powerful inherited rhythms.

Lula has a universal wheelchair accessible washroom on the main floor. The Havana lounge and dance floor are accessible. There is one step down to the dance floor, with a portable ramp. One raised seating section can also be made accessible using the same ramp.
