WHY: A thrilling cinematic blast for movie fans and filmmakers, Toronto After Dark has been Voted Runner-Up for Best Film Festival in the City by audiences (BlogTO) and One of the Top Genre Film Festivals in the World by filmmakers (MovieMaker).

Each year around 1,000 filmmakers from around the world submit films in competition for a coveted screening slot at our October film showcase, packed full of thousands of delighted audience members, seeking new cinematic thrills and chills! WHEN & WHERE: Toronto After Dark’s 17th Annual Edition runs over 5 Thrilling nights, Wednesday-Sunday, October 18-22, 2023. The festival will screen around 40 amazing new films, both features and shorts, at the Scotiabank Theatre located at 259 Richmond Street West, the largest cinema in the heart of Toronto’s downtown Entertainment District. A number of the filmmakers will be in attendance for lively Q & A’s with the fans following their screenings!

IN EARLY OCTOBER: FILM LINEUP & FILM SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED, & TICKETS ON SALE! All 10 of the festival’s Awesome Feature Films plus approximately 30 Amazing Shorts , adding up to 12 thrilling screenings over 5 nights, will be announced on site here as part of our 17th Annual Thrilling lineup! Individual Tickets will be available for purchase here at the Festival Site, at the Cineplex Website, Cineplex App, and In Person at Scotiabank Theatre.
