This inimitable trio created works in a wide range of materials while confronting an array of social themes, including the pharmaceutical industry, queer identity, the AIDS epidemic, and consumerism. Their approach was always loaded with irony, mischief, and humor, and they excelled at creating distinct icons decades before the concept of personal branding.
