The Lune très belle ensemble led by Frédérique Roy will feature Robin Dann, Philippe Melanson, Gabriel Drolet, and Owen Stewart-Robertson. A performance by Martin Arnold will open the evening.

LUNE TRÈS BELLE is the nü fusion project of Montréal composer and poet Frédérique Roy. Her music is an open form, at once unstable and reassuring: a pop neology of experimental, environmental sound. The ensemble (featuring members of Bernice, Victime, Corridor) embodies the allure of a shifting castle where rooms of different shapes and volumes bleed into each other, and the sensitivity of the players into one another, calling to mind the vaporous space of Grouper and the melodic knack of Julia Holter.
