Kevork Mourad: Seeing Through Babel

Kevork Mourad: Seeing Through Babel

Presented by Aga Khan Museum at Aga Khan Museum

Seeing Through Babel explores the profound influence of language diversity in shaping our shared humanity, inviting us to reflect on the beauty of our differences and their contribution to our collective tapestry. Mourad's installation encourages each individual to find a piece of themselves within this celebration of differences.

Using delicate layers of hand-printed textiles adorned with calligraphy and imagery inspired by ancient stone artifacts from various cultures worldwide, Mourad meticulously crafted this installation to evoke the timeless form of the Tower of Babel.
