Join Craig Shreve for a conversation about his new book. Based on the little-known true story of the only samurai of African descent, this historical novel tells the tale of a former 16th century slave and soldier, who became the first foreign-born samurai. Shreve gives the reader both mythical-like battles along with lyrical ruminations on freedom.

By the Lake Book Club offers six Tuesday-night events, between February and December featuring leading Canadian authors in conversation with Humber College graduates and alumni.
