Urban Capers invites you to discover the AGO in a new way with this art-infused scavenger hunt! Earn points by exploring the galleries, answering tricky questions and completing creative team challenges – all before the clock runs out.
Discover the AGO (and your teammates) in a whole new light! Earn points on this creative scavenger hunt by exploring the galleries, learning about art, answering artistic riddles, and completing entertaining text, photo and video challenges.
Artistic experience and knowledge isn’t required-- you will experience the art and BE the art! In this hunt, your team is the true masterpiece.
The experience is 2 hours long with 1.5 hours dedicated to live game time and the remaining time split between the orientation and grand finale. Players are welcome to stay on-site to further enjoy the AGO following their hunt.

That’s right! Minors 17 and under can participate in the scavenger hunt for free so long as they are accompanied by a paying parent/ guardian. Please indicate how many children will be accompanying the parent/ guardian at the time of booking.
Note: At least one player per team must bring a fully charged phone with our scavenger hunt app downloaded, but the more the merrier! Instructions are found on the booking page. Your on-site hosts will provide you with your game code and further sign-in instructions upon arrival.

Is this hunt accessible?
Yes! The AGO is wheelchair accessible so this hunt is too. Street-level access to the AGO is available through the AGO's Group Entrance (the scavenger hunt meeting location), and is open during all public hours. AGO's wheelchairs and walkers are available to visitors on a first-come first-served basis or may be reserved in advance of your visit. Please contact us about reserving an assistive mobility device and we will make arrangements with AGO.
Where is the Wheel-Trans drop-off and pick-up?
Although Wheel-Trans users can be dropped off at either the east or west ramps, most Wheel-Trans drivers tend to drop off at the east ramp. For pick-up, most Wheel-Trans drivers tend to park in front of the AGO until they have identified their patron, then move to the end of the east ramp for pick up.
Support Person Ticketing:
A support person accompanying a visitor with disabilities will be allowed to stay with the visitor at all times and will be provided with free participation in the scavenger hunt and free admission to the AGO. Please see the AGO Policy on Support Persons. Please contact info@urbancapers.com or call 416-895-2378 to inquire about booking your scavenger hunt tickets for visitors with their suport person ( we request that you book your ticket and then simply let us know that a support person will attend so we can account for the number of participants on-site).
Material Size/ Large Print Materials:
Please note that the scavenger hunt materials are all delivered through the Goosechase scavenger hunt app. Although the materials are set in their digital format, participants may zoom in on the mission list text and zoom in on the digital map to adjust the size of print/ visuals as needed. The AGO offers large print materials. The large-print label resource is a key part of the AGO's ongoing commitment to inclusion and accessibility and will continue to grow and evolve to better supplement engagement to both the web and in-gallery experiences. Multiple Chemical SensitivitiesThe AGO works to decrease the amount of scents in the building by using unscented cleaning products. AGO staff can assist visitors with MCS by providing information about the times and days when their galleries are less busy and they can also direct you to areas where there are fewer visitors once you are at the AGO and advise you of areas that have been recently painted. Urban Capers Scavenger Hunts' "Express Yourself at the AGO" scavenger hunt allows players to pick and choose which missions they want to complete in a "choose your own adventure" format so players can fully participate while only entering galleries they are comfortable visiting.
