EVIL WOMEN is a monthly screening series devoted to the femme fatales we desire and dread in our wildest dreams and worst nightmares! Join us on the last Sunday of the month for some unholy flicks- curated by Weird Alice!
EVERYONE NEEDS A FRIEND. Join us this February as Evil Women takes its first trip to the millienium for a night of modern hagsploitation. The great Isabelle Huppert stars in Neil Jordan's taudry and twisty thriller- and she's looking for a friend. She's been waiting for you- it's GRETA!
Frances finds a handbag on the New York subway and promptly returns it to Greta, an eccentric French piano teacher who loves tea and classical music. Having recently lost her mother, young Frances strikes up a seemingly harmless friendship with the lonely and kindly widow who enjoys her company. But when Greta's behavior becomes increasingly erratic and obsessive, Frances does whatever it takes to end the toxic relationship before things spirals out of control.
