Presented by Lobo at Dakota Tavern

THE SARANDONS

Heartland Canadian indie rockers The Sarandons take solace in acceptance on their latest single “Say When”, an anthem replete with alluring melodies, whimsical keys, swathed in chorus-drenched guitars and lush vocal harmonies, produced by Dan Hosh (Wild Rivers, City and Colour, Glorious Sons). The double A-side single, pairs with the dark rockin’ “The Great Divide” and follows hard on the heels of their acclaimed full-length Sightlines. The Sarandons have shared stages with Kiwi Jr., Dakota Mill, Mattie Leon, Julie Title and more.

The Sarandons are the fully collaborative endeavour of Toronto music stalwarts Dave Suchon (vocals, guitar), Damian Coleman (bass, vocals), Edmund Cummings (keys, vocals), Craig Keeney (lead guitar) and Phil Skot (drums), who have been creating together in different projects for over a decade and a half.

KASADOR

Kingston, Ontario band Kasador have never been scared of change. And the three friends at Kasador’s core—Cameron Wyatt (vocals/guitar), Boris Baker (bass), and Stephen Adubofuor (drums)—have been through a lot of it. They've channelled the turbulence of their mid- and late-20s into a potent rock and roll unit, recently unveiling a full-length record that delves into youth, memory, relationships and the fluidity of time. This vibrant, punkish, and emotionally charged guitar-rock album traces the journey of learning to navigate life's challenges.

Despite uncertainties arising when their co-lead singer departed in 2020, just before the pandemic, Kasador embraced a new era, evolving into a different band that has now released their second LP, Youth, The record reflects their acknowledgment of life's transience, capturing the essence of navigating the divide between youthful dreams and adult realities. Having shared stages with renowned acts like Arkells, July Talk, Sam Roberts Band, and The Glorious Sons, Kasador's growth involved refining songcraft and adopting a grittier sound, making them a noteworthy presence in the Canadian music scene.

SKYDOAM

Dream pop-bred. Synthesized by new wave and shoegaze. With sonic atmospheres whose lineage could be a child by Radiohead and Beach House if it was conceived at an LCD Soundsystem afterparty. There’s a familiar novelty and novel familiarity to Skydoam.

Skydoam is Jamie and Lobo of Toronto. Their chemistry began in 2017 in the confines of a typical five-piece rock band. Yet the songwriting and sounds to drape them in was anything but typical.

And becoming a duo with a drum machine during COVID-19 showed them that they could do everything on their own. Together.

ROCKFORD

Born from a hallucinatory puff of hash smoke, Rockford emerged from the backwaters of southern Ontario to build a wall of crushing guitars, bottomless bass and thunderous drums that terrifies those who fear rock.
