Calling all early birds! Join us as we welcome millions of migrating birds in Toronto on International Dawn Chorus Day. Flock to High Park at the crack of dawn for a quiet hike to hear the morning chorus of birdsong as the sun rises. Don’t worry – there will be coffee welcoming you at the Nature Centre!

NOTE: Pre-registration is required for all our events, hikes and workshops. We do this to ensure we don’t exceed our capacity for indoor events or the maximum limits for group sizes on High Park’s ecologically sensitive trails. Please register on our website before coming to High Park.
We cannot guarantee availability of walk-in spots. If an event is at capacity, please put yourself on our waitlist. We will notify waitlisted participants if we open up new spots or sessions for our events. Please contact us if you have any questions.
High Park Nature Centre's Forest School

Due to limited availability, parking is not recommended near the High Park Nature Centre. We strongly recommend that you park at the free parking lot near the Grenadier Café located in the centre of High Park. In case you're driving please enter High Park from the east on Parkside Drive and High Park Boulevard and drive west on Centre Road to reach the Grenadier Café's parking lot. If you wish to drop-off at the High Park Nature Centre merge onto and drive north up Colborne Lodge Drive until you reach the swimming pool and tennis courts. You may only exit High Park through the north gates on Bloor Street West and High Park Avenue.
If you're biking, we have bike racks located right outside the High Park Nature Centre.
We strongly recommend using public transit as we are conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the High Park Subway Station and a 15-minute walk from the High Park Loop Streetcar Station.
Hike routes through High Park might include some uneven terrain and mild slopes.
We welcome registered therapy or guide dogs to our events. However, we kindly ask that that family pets be left at home.
