Give a Hoot: Protecting Owls at Night in High Park

Presented by High Park Nature Centre at High Park Nature Centre's Forest School

Step into the shadows for an evening nature hike where we unveil the world of owls in High Park. Like all nocturnal animals, owls are specially adapted to the dark. But what happens as the nighttime sky shrinks with artificial lights of urban ecosystems like Toronto? Join us for an educational evening walk about the owls of High Park. We will learn about the challenges they face due to light pollution in an increasingly illuminated world and what we can do to help them and other after-dark dwellers in High Park.

Note: This is one of the many events happening in the city as part of the Toronto Bird Celebration.
