Dramatic Soles: Writing Plays and Perspectives in Someone Else’s Shoes

Presented by Bata Shoe Museum at Bata Shoe Museum

Have you ever wanted to learn how to write a theatrical play? This is the workshop for you! In celebration of our upcoming exhibition Exhibit A: Investigating Crime and Footwear, Dramatic Soles: Writing Plays and Perspectives in Someone Else’s Shoes welcomes new and emerging playwrights to explore the writing process as inspired by footwear and crime. Join celebrated Canadian Playwright Steven Elliott Jackson in learning play constructing, formatting, character construction, plot development, and theme devices that make great plays. Learners will leave with a ten-minute play and the skills to write bigger and longer works. Museum admission, instruction, and light refreshments are all included. There will be a 1-hour lunch break built into the schedule. Lunch will not be provided.
