Opened in 1930, Eaton's College Street was the largest homewares store in the British Empire, with an impressive 600,000 square feet of shopping space. Crowning this majestic store was the Seventh Floor Round Room restaurant, where generations of downtown shoppers enjoyed lunch in Art Deco splendour. Closed in 1977 when the Toronto Eaton Centre opened with a new Eaton's downtown flagship store. Eaton'sCollege Street was converted for retail and office uses, and the building is now known as College Park.
