Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre

The Gallery at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre represents a 2,500 square foot area on our main floor. The Gallery is committed to a multi-disciplinary program encompassing visual art, design, performing arts, and literature. We encourage inter-disciplinary work, collaboration, dialogue, and art education. The Gallery also promotes excellence in primarily contemporary art and design, with a curatorial emphasis on the work by Canadian & International artists of Japanese ancestry and of the larger Asian Community. Past exhibitions presented by the Gallery include: Being Michiko: A Sansei Artist’s Journey, Bungalow Colony, and the annual Japanese Calligraphy Competition.

The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre offers a wide range of rental spaces and services for your event requirements.
We can accommodate a variety of events that include corporate functions, conventions, conferences, trade shows, stage performances, film screenings, banquets, luncheons, fashion shows, exhibitions, galas and more.
We are easily accessible, located just off the Don Valley Parkway, with an available parking.
The Japanese Cultural Centre reflects a blend of both modern and traditional Japanese architectural styles. It is a perfect venue for any event, large or small and we take pleasure in serving our clients every need.
