Alex Lakusta Quintet Live at The Emmet Ray

Look past the tattoos and the denim jacket and you will find Alex Lakusta, a jazz bassist hailing from Toronto, ON. At home on both electric and upright bass, Alex has been a mainstay in the Toronto music scene for almost a decade. After years of  finding his footing as a touring sideman in rock and pop he has landed firmly where he began in jazz. His latest Quintet showcases his love of hard bop style jazz as the band showcases works by Mingus, Silver, Hubbard and more.

The quintet will be performing 2 sets between 4:30pm and 7pm.

$10 advance/ $15 at the door
