APPLE PIE CONTEST & FUNDRAISER

On Saturday, October 28th, the Trinity Bellwoods BIA is hosting an Apple Pie Contest to raise money for St Stephen’s Community HouseThe Pie Contest is open to anyone who would like to bake an apple pie, including new bakers, home bakers and professionals.

You will need to register to compete in the Apple Pie Contest . You can register here on Eventbrite or in person at Comrags (812 Dundas St W). There is a participation fee of $10.00 for the pie contest which will be donated to St Stephen’s Community House .

Pies must be delivered to Carolina Pizzeria at 772 Dundas St W, between 12:00-1pm sharp for judging. Pies will be judged on appearance, crust, filling and overall taste. Late pies will not be judged, but may be sold, and the judges’ decision is final. Judging takes place between 1-3pm. One slice of pie will be used for judging and the rest of the pie will be sold by the slice to raise money.

Please be advised of the following rules:

Only apple pies will be accepted
Only one entry per person
Your entry must be a pie you have baked yourself
Pies must have a rolled pastry crust. Single or double crust will be accepted
Crumb tops are accepted
Pies must be made from scratch. No store bought fillings or crusts
Pies should be brought in disposable plates only. Plates will not be returned
No raw/uncooked eggs (white or yokes). No pies requiring refrigeration will be accepted

Along with your name and contact info, a list of ingredients must accompany each pie. The recipe will not be shared.

Winners will be announced at the event by3pm. Winners will also be notified by email.

FIRST PRIZE: $200 AND A GIFT BASKET.
SECOND PRIZE: $100 AND A GIFT BASKET.
THIRD PRIZE: $50 AND GIFT A BASKET.
Prizes must be picked up within one week of the event
