Art On The Brain Expressive Art Show

Art On The Brain Expressive Art Show – curated by the Brain Injury Society of Toronto – aims to make visible the often invisible impacts of Brain Injury. Our show highlights the strengths, creativity and resilience of people who live with this often hidden – but very challenging – disability.

As an Expressive Art Show, our artists range from professional artists to individuals who may be expressing themselves through visual art for the first time. All our artists create as a means to process their emotions following a brain injury. Themes include: grief, loss of self, acceptance, finding a new identity, anger, tongue-in-cheek humour and joy.

Regardless, each piece is powerful, and the exhibit’s strength is in its diversity.
