As part of the 2024 Lulaworld festival, Lula welcomes ‘El Sonero de Cuba’, the celebrated composer and singer Bernardo Ramirez.

Known for his stellar vocal improvizations, Havana-born Bernardo Ramirez is inspired by the Cuban greats such as Beny Moré, Roberto Faz, Celia Cruz and Aragon Orquesta.

Ramirez recently recorded a full length album in Lima. Peru, co-produced with Manuel Pecho, and featuring Venezuelan vocalisrts who also previously recorded with Oscar de Leon and showcasing compostions co-written with Carmen Rosa Nuñez.

Event Itinerary 

7:00PM – Arrive between 7-9PM for a delicious three course meal, including your choice of appetizer main and dessert!

9:00PM – Get ready to have some fun and break the ice with a beginners dance lesson provided by Afro Latino Dance Company! (No partner necessary!)

10:00PM – Enjoy Toronto’s best salsa bands take to the stage and deliver irresistible tropical rhythms. Nothing compares to experiencing this music with a LIVE band!

11:00PM – DJ Suave will play their first set between the live salsa show.

12:00AM – The salsa band returns for their second set of music that will transport you right to a tropical vacation.

1:00AM – DJ Suave returns to keep the party going until closing with more top 40, salsa, bachata, reggeaton and Latin hits.
