Casablanca – Fox’s 110th Birthday!

It’s our 110th birthday and we’re celebrating with one of the all-time Fox audience faves! (seriously, you love this darn movie!)

Director Michael Curtiz’s iconic romantic epic is arguably the most famous high-point of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Humphrey Bogart plays world weary American ex-patriate Rick, proprietor of a nightclub in Casablanca, Morocco. When Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman), a former love of Rick’s, and her husband (Paul Henreid), show up to his cafe one day, Rick faces a tough challenge which will bring up unforeseen complications, heartbreak and ultimately an excruciating decision to make.

“Casablanca” represents the epitome of the legendary Bogart screen persona — cynical, solitary, sardonic, anti-heroic, but ultimately redeemable by love. With a legendary supporting cast and impeccable craftsmanship at all levels, “Casablanca” deserves its status as one of the greatest films ever made.
