7 Works Collective

In 2020, 7 Works Collective’s Toronto Island residency was thwarted by COVID. They adapted, launching biweekly art challenges. This exhibitions displays original art and each artist’s response.

ABOUT CONTINUUM: The 2018 Artscape Gibraltar Point Residency accepted 2 artists for a week of immersive art. 2019 they traveled to Toronto Island with 3 more artists from various art disciplines. 2020 the world changed. 7 artists postponed the island residency. When plans were upended these determined artists committed themselves to finding inspiration via Zoom to see/talk about what they had done during their at-home residency week. From Highway 401 or the QEW, take Highway 427 to the Burnhamthorpe Road West exit. Turn south onto The West Mall. The gallery is located in the Etobicoke Civic Centre, on the southeast corner of Burnhamthorpe Road and The West Mall.

By Transit
From Kipling subway station, take the West Mall #112 bus to Civic Centre Court. From Islington subway station, take the Burnhamthorpe #50 bus to The West Mall. The gallery is located in the Etobicoke Civic Centre, on the southeast corner of Burnhamthorpe Road and The West Mall.
